Commitment to Excellence

Paradigm Medical Management is known as a progressive company, experienced in setting up and managing solid and successful wound care, amputation prevention and hyperbaric medicine centers in partnership with acute care hospitals. Our diversity of experience and dedication to excellence set our amputation prevention programs apart, and have earned Paradigm Medical Management its position as a leader in the practice of ensuring the highest level of care for patients facing the possibility of limb loss.

Teaming dedicated, skilled foot and ankle surgeons with vascular surgeons committed to limb salvage brings about the best results for patients. Although not every patient can be guaranteed a positive outcome, our statistics to date show that up to 94% of patients that seek treatment in an APC are able to avoid major amputations. These healing rates are not the result of luck or fortuity. On the contrary, successful outcomes are derived from the commitment to and the philosophy of limb salvage.

Our Treatment Approach

We offer a range of advanced and effective treatments and procedures for limb salvage, using the latest technologies that may include:

  • Systemic hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • Cutting edge diagnostic equipment
  • Bioengineered skin substitutes
  • Aggressive medical and surgical interventions
  • Telemedicine case conferences

Our specialists will work with you and your physician to identify the optimal treatment plan for you.

Becoming a Patient

In the United States, nearly 24 million people – or 7.8 percent of the U.S. population – have diabetes. And people with diabetes are far more likely to undergo foot or leg amputations because many have circulation and nerve problems, which lead to ulcers and infections that may ultimately result in amputation, according to the American Diabetes Association.

As an Amputation Prevention Center (APC) patient, you will meet with a multidisciplinary team of experts who will explain the role their practice area can play in your treatment. Rather than telling you what you need, your care team will listen to you and provide clear, well-defined choices. Then, they will help you decide on a treatment plan that gives you the best alternative to a major amputation.

Upon your arrival at an APC, our clinicians will review your medical history and perform a complete array of diagnostic tests and procedures. In addition, you will have a comprehensive evaluation and consultations with a vascular surgeon, podiatrist and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.

Information gathered during this time helps us formulate a comprehensive treatment plan, tailored to your needs.

If you are a patient with diabetes or peripheral arterial disease, you may be at risk for complications that put your limbs at risk.
